If you already have a pet, check out these featured veterinary clinics where you can get the utmost in pet care. We’ve also found several dogs available for adoption in the area as well.

Pet Name: Potcake Peaches
Breed: Beagle
Age: Adult
Male or Female: F
Size: M

Hi, I’m Potcake Peaches, and I am a bit of an oxymoron (at least i think that’s how you spell it..?)…. On the one hand I’m regal & reserved, pretty & dainty. And on the other hand, I’m a wild child who snorts like a little pig when my beloved humans approach me! I have lots of personality and am such a spunky girl. I’m what some folks refer to as the class clown if everybody’s excited and ready to go, but if my humans are relaxing on the couch I’ll do just the same thing and be on my very best behavior. No matter what, I’m just happy to be close to someone. I arrived in Fall 2010 from the Bahamas where I had no home and no food. A lady saw our living conditions when she was vacationing there, and she made arrangements to save me and bring me to Atlanta. She brought some of my friends here too, and our official breed in the Bahamas is “Potcake.” We are all very smart dogs and are very eager to please. I am a little skittish around new people, especially men, but I warm up quickly & am just so loving! I love to have a doggie playmate to tear around the yard with, but I could be just as happy having the undivided attention of a human and the occasional romp with friends at the dog park. I am crate/potty-trained & actually like the security of my crate when I’m home alone. Another couple of tidbits about me – sometimes I get so excited to see my humans that it looks like my teeth are itching because I can’t help but smile! They also nicknamed me ‘the high-stepper’ because when I get excited I also often pick my front feet up high like I’m marching! Won’t you give me the chance to be your new best friend? I’ll reward you with boundless enthusiasm & unconditional love – delivered in the cutest quirky way!

Pet Name: Arthur
Breed: Bluetick Coonhound
Age: Adult
Male or Female: M
Size: L

Hi, I’m Arthur, a handsome, laid back guy. I was rescued from a local kill-shelter after wandering in someone’s yard. The shelter found my dad, but he was in the hospital & no longer able to care for me. I’m about 6 – 7 years old & just can’t wait to find my forever home. I walk well on a leash & appreciate any attention I am given. I am one of the sweetest boys you will ever meet! Won’t you please consider me & contact the volunteers? Pet Name: Buddy
Breed: Black Labrador Retriever
Age: Adult
Male or Female: M
Size: L

Hi! My name is Buddy, and I’m a sweet, happy-go-lucky guy. I do well with both cats and dogs, and I would make a wonderful family pet. I am so appreciative of any attention I can get from my volunteer friends, and I love for them to play with me. I also enjoy playing with my dog friends, though! In fact, I would do best in a home with another dog that will play with me. I was surrendered by my owner when he could no longer care for me and am only 3 years old, so I have lots of love left to share. I love everyone and anyone! I do well on a leash, and I like to play with squeaky toys! The volunteers tell me that I am such a handsome, good boy and that anyone would be lucky to have me as his or her companion!! I am a great dog, and I hope you will consider me! If you would like more information about me, please email adoptions@gahomelesspets.com
